Why I decided to provide Anti Racism & Racial Trauma Therapy

When I began thinking of coaching and therapy for people leaving racist groups, wanting to fight racism, or just interested in healing the racial divide, I was not certain if it was the right decision. I thought " Will I alienate prospective clients?" " Will I attract politically charged danger?" Plainly, I thought to myself, "Are you Sure?" The answer is a resounding Yes.

Racism is not a new phenomenon nor eperation based on likeness. Species have always cohabitated and socialised amongst their likeness. Familiarity is comfortable and safe because it is predictable. All humans belong to the same species with Differences in geography led to differences in complexion, culture, language and even religion. Throughout history as humans evolved, we learned about science, physiology, sociology, philosophy, developed organized religions and institutions of education. Nefarious forces desiring power have always sought to destroy unity and progress. Dividing people by class, race, gender, religion, or any different denominator.

The problem with division is that it hinders growth and ability. In the presence of racism growth based on the beauty of differences of thought is impossible. Lies resentment, destruction, suffering and stagnation replace evolution. Suffering happens for the oppressed and the oppressors as all are operating in a tense oppressive unhealthy system.

Racism leads to violence, political divisions, war, genocides, brutality, ignorance and hatred. It is unhealthy to our environment, our children, our bodies, and our minds. Racism hinders our thought processes, our biases limit possibilities and learning. Nationally, minorities fight against racism, among black and white people trauma is the most unresolved and plagued. We now live in a world where we need to work together for the sake of the environment, civil unrest, s well as to prevent nuclear war.

I decided that it is far too important for us to heal these divisions. Constructs surrounding race frame much of our conscious and subconscious thought. These thoughts lead to actions and interactions. Societal interactions build civilizations, which is why it is mportant to debunk myths, concepts, and biases. It is equally important to understand the concept of actively fighting against an evil. I decided to work with people looking to actively engage in Anti-Racism and the de-programming necessary to begin the journey. Inner work is often tedious but always enlightening.

With each session, I am enjoying every moment. I decided to provide anti racism/ racial trauma counseling and therapy because I have Hope for a Better Day.
